APEX HELMET KIDS 50-54CM – Size and fit are the most important things when it comes to bike helmets. A helmet that doesn’t fit properly won’t protect you as well as it should.

First, you’ll want to find the right size. Start by measuring the circumference of your head. Simply wrap a tape measure around your head one inch above your eyebrows. Compare this measurement to the Helmet Size Chart of your selected helmet brand to find the right size helmet for you.
Step 2: Adjust the Fit
Apex Bicycles Safety First | How To Fit Your Helmet
Once you’ve found the correct size, make sure it fits correctly. Place the helmet squarely on your head so that the front of the helmet sits one finger-width above your eyebrows.

Next, use the rear dial if it has one to find a snug fit. You should be able to shake your head without the helmet slipping off, while still feeling comfortable.

Now you’re ready for the straps. Adjust the side clasps to hit just below your ears, forming a “V” shape. Then buckle the chin strap and tighten it so that no more than one finger fits under the strap.

Note: Be sure to check your helmet regularly to insure it still fits correctly. Adjustments may be needed now and then due to use.

A bike helmet is an important part of any ride, and with these guidelines you should be well on your way to finding the right helmet for your child. Make sure they know the rules – no helmet, no ride!
