SRAM PADS CODE/GUIDE – Highly specialized tools and supplies are required for the installation of your SRAM components. We recommend that you have a qualified bicycle mechanic install your SRAM components.

Brake pads must be replaced if the total thickness of the backing plate and pad friction material is less than 3 mm. Riding with backing plate and pad friction material less than 3 mm can result in reduced braking performance. Crash, and/ or death. The rotor must be replaced if the total thickness is less than 1.55 mm, or when changing pad friction material.

Remove the wheel from the bicycle according to your wheel manufacturer’s instructions.
